Hey Jude

By Emily

It’s too often we forget our blessings. Today I thank God for you, J. I’m so lucky to have you in my life; you’re like the sister I’ve never had. ILU.

“Remember to let her into your heart. Then you can start to make it better.”

New Beginnings

By Emily

Sometimes like a bird, I wish I could fly away to a new place, start a new life, and be a new person. But unlike them, I have commitments and promises to keep.

Although we’re still in winter, I have begun my spring. It’s only been a few days, but I have started fresh. I have begun on my road to a new beginning. And even though it seems a number of bridges had to be burned, I am confident happiness awaits. Somewhere.

Brutal Hearts

By Emily

I have diverse taste, including a passionate love for reggae/ska music. One of my favourite bands (ever) has been Canada’s Bedouin Soundclash. During my time as a freelance writer, I got to interview the boys a number of times – most memorable being at a downtown café for the release of their fifth studio album Light the Horizon.

I wrote a detailed article for my personal site (now retired) and a short feature for 680News. You can read it here! They are a fantastic group of musicians, and more importantly, fantastic people.

The images you see below are oldies, but goodies; lead singer Jay Malinowski energizes a crowd in Kitchener, Ontario.
